Join FINTO

FINTO represents Finnair's upper-level employees in all HR development activities and also negotiates the collective agreement for Finnair employees.

FINTO's membership fee is 36 € per year. N.B! The calendar year in which you become a member is free. The service includes:

  • advice on employment relationships
  • information about company policies
  • helpful and pleasant member events, e.g. parties, excursions, current affairs

Legal advice is available from your trade union, but if necessary, we will also contact the unions' legal support in matters concerning the member.

As a member, you can influence our common affairs by participating, you will also benefit from the network and strengthen negotiation activities. Membership adds value to your employment relationship.

N.B! Automatic collection of membership fees from your salary is possible and the easiest way to pay FINTO's contribution, in which case FINTO will notify the tax authorities directly of your membership fee. The membership fee is tax deductible. If you wish, you can also pay the membership fee with a separate invoice. In this case, the member is responsible for filing a report with the tax authorities.

In other words, FINTO is not an actual trade union, but a workplace association backed by Akava trade unions and its negotiation organisation YTN ry.

YTN’s member unions - Ylemmät Toimihenkilöt YTN

Finto's new members must be a member of one of the above-mentioned associations. YTN unions are organised on the basis of education. For example, if you are an economist, you can join the Finnish Business School Graduates' Union.

If you can't find your own education-based union, there is also a www.asia.fi/en in the YTN community that is open to all higher education students who do not have their own union with an educational background. 

Managers and experts in private sectors, ASIA is an Akava union founded in 1992 with approximately 11,000 members and 12 member associations. ASIA´s membership is based on status, not education or a specific field. ASIA´s meber usually work in management or supervisory/expert positions.
